Chains in Design: 3C CATENE’s Contribution to the 2026 Venice Biennale

We are proud to have contributed to the creation of Zīnah (Adornment), an installation exhibited at the 61st International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale 2026.

For this project, the Venice-based design studio WE EXHIBITH, responsible for coordinating and installing the exhibition, involved us in the supply of more than 1,100 chain cut-link in various lengths, complete with nickel-plated S-hooks.

The chains were used to suspend from the pavilion ceiling the various elements that make up the artwork, following the creative concept developed by artist Haitham Al Busafi.

This collaboration demonstrates how a seemingly simple component such as a chain can find applications not only in technical and traditional industrial sectors, but also in the worlds of art, architecture and contemporary design.

We would like to thank WE EXHIBITH for involving us in this prestigious project. We are delighted that our chains contributed to the realization of an installation showcased at one of the world’s most important international art events.
