When it comes to quality, the final result is only part of the story. At 3C CATENE, quality comes from a process based on inspections, measurements and checks that accompany the product from the arrival of materials through to order preparation and delivery to the customer.
This system enables us to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards, reducing the risk of non-conforming products and ensuring that every stage meets the required standards.
It all starts with the materials
Before production even begins, we carry out incoming inspections on raw materials, ancillary materials, packaging and packing materials. After all, the quality of the finished product also depends on the quality of everything that enters the production process.
Traceability: from raw material to chain
Quality control also depends on the ability to identify and trace the origin of a product. All wire purchased is recorded upon arrival and identified through our internal traceability system.
This identification follows the raw material throughout the entire production process, allowing us to determine which material was used to manufacture each chain sold to our customers.
This system creates continuity between procurement, production, outsourced processing and the finished product, allowing us, whenever necessary, to reconstruct the entire production history of a chain.
During production, we inspect what we manufacture
Our chains undergo sample dimensional inspections, during which we check the wire diameter and link dimensions against the specified tolerances. We also carry out sample checks of the weight-to-length or weight-per-piece ratio for the various products.
These instrumental inspections are complemented by visual checks of the link shape and weld quality, as well as sample tests to verify the working load using a dedicated dynamometer.
Inspections continue after production
Before the product is released, we visually inspect the quality and appearance of the finish and carry out sample checks of the coating thickness.
We also verify the length of packaged chains or individual chain sections, as well as checking that the quantities actually prepared correspond to those stated in the shipping documents.
